SRINAGAR: A truck driver lost his life in an accident inside the Navyug Tunnel on Jammu- Srinagar national highway late Thursday night, an official said.

An official confirmed that Sukhdev Singh, son of Bakhtawar Singh, a resident of Pallipora, Punjab, was driving a truck bearing registration number PB-02/CR 9118 when the accident occurred, resulting in his instant death.
“The body of the deceased was later retrieved from inside the tunnel and will be handed over to the family after the completion of necessary medico-legal formalities,” the official added. (KB)
