SRINAGAR: A 16-year-old boy died after being struck by a vehicle in the Sempora area of Srinagar late on Saturday night.

An official said that the teenager, a scooty rider and resident of Zaffron Colony, Pantha Chowk, sustained critical injuries when a speeding vehicle hit him in Sempora.
Despite being rushed to SMHS Hospital for treatment, he succumbed to his injuries, the official said.
He has been identified as Faizan Ahmad Nanda, son of Mohd Rafiq Nanda, of Zaffron Colony, Srinagar.
Authorities have taken cognisance of the incident, and further legal proceedings are underway. (JKNS)
