Indian Navy SSR Medical Assistant Recruitment 2025: The Indian Navy has released the official notification for the recruitment of unmarried male and female candidates for the post of Senior Secondary Recruit (SSR) – Medical Assistant under entries 02/2025 and 02/2026. Candidates who have passed their 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) are eligible to apply. The application process began on 29 March 2025 and will continue until 16 April 2025, 5:00 PM. Interested candidates must apply online at the official website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in.

The recruitment is being conducted for state-wise vacancies, which will be notified later based on the requirements. Candidates selected for the post will receive a stipend of ₹14,600 per month during the training period. After successful completion of training, they will be placed at Pay Level 3 with a salary ranging from ₹21,700 to ₹68,100 along with Military Service Pay (MSP) and Dearness Allowance (DA).
To be eligible, candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as subjects, securing at least 50% aggregate marks and a minimum of 40% in each subject individually. For the 02/2025 batch, applicants must be born between 01 September 2004 and 29 February 2008, while for the 02/2026 batch, the age limit is between 01 July 2005 and 31 December 2008.
The selection process will be conducted in two stages. Stage I includes the Indian Navy Entrance Test (INET), which will be a computer-based test consisting of 100 questions from English, Science, Biology, and General Awareness. The test duration will be 60 minutes and will include negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. Stage II will consist of a Physical Fitness Test (PFT), a written exam (similar to INET), and a medical examination based on Indian Navy standards. Final selection will be based on merit in Stage II and the candidate’s overall performance.
