Subject: Appointment of Assistant Professors (BBA/MBA & Management) in the Higher Education Department

In reference to the recommendation letter No. PSC/DR-HE/AP-BBA/MBA & Management dated 08-02-2025 from the Secretary, J&K Public Service Commission, the Government of Jammu and Kashmir hereby sanctions the appointment of selected candidates as Assistant Professors in the discipline of BBA/MBA & Management. The appointments are made on a Regular Temporary basis under the Pay Band of Rs. 15,600–39,100 with an AGP of Rs. 6,000 (pre-revised), corresponding to Academic Level-10 with a pay scale of Rs. 57,700/-.

Reporting Instructions:

  • Kashmir Division Appointees must report to the Nodal Principal, Government College of Education, Srinagar.
  • Jammu Division Appointees must report to the Nodal Principal, Government College for Women, Parade, Jammu.

Deadline: Candidates must report within 21 days from the issuance of this order, failing which the appointment shall stand automatically cancelled.

Terms and Conditions:

  1. Probation Period: Appointees will be on a two-year probation starting from the date of joining.
  2. Pension Scheme: Appointments will fall under the New Pension Scheme as per SRO-400 of 2009 dated 24-12-2009.
  3. Mandatory Documents (Originals) at Joining:
    • Domicile Certificate
    • Date of Birth Certificate
    • Educational Qualification Certificates (NET/SLET/Ph.D. etc.)
    • Category Certificate (if applicable)
    • Health/Medical Fitness Certificate
    • Any other document as required by law
  4. Salary Disbursement: Will be initiated only upon:
    • Verification of documents
    • Receipt of a satisfactory report regarding the authenticity of certificates
    • Submission of an affidavit as per Annexure-A
  5. Seniority: Determined in line with J&K Civil Services (Classification, Control & Appeal) Rules, 1956.
  6. Provisional Status: Appointments remain provisional until all certificates are verified. Any fake/incomplete/inconsistent document will lead to cancellation ab-initio.
  7. Legal Clause: Appointments are subject to the outcome of any court case(s) pending before a competent court.
