“JKBOSE Brings Back October–November Exam Session in Jammu and Kashmir – Key Update for Students”: SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has officially restored the earlier academic calendar for the Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, effective from the current academic year (2025).
According to an official notification, the previous calendar has been reinstated in line with government orders. The academic session for the Kashmir Division, winter zone areas of Jammu Division, and the Union Territory of Ladakh will now be counted as 2024–25. The Annual Regular Examinations for Classes 9 to 12 in these regions will be held in October–November 2025.
For the Jammu Division (Summer Zone), the academic session will be counted as 2025–26, with Annual Regular Examinations for Classes 9 to 12 scheduled in March–April 2026.
All stakeholders, including schools, students, and education authorities in JK and Ladakh have been advised to follow the revised calendar, which restores the region-specific academic sessions based on climatic zones. (JKNS)
