“Srinagar Heatwave: Temperature Soars to 33.2°C, Breaking Seasonal Records”: SRINAGAR: Day temperatures continued to remain above normal across most parts of the Kashmir Valley on Thursday, with Srinagar recording a maximum of 33.2°C, which is 7.8°C above the normal average for this time of year.
According to data compiled by Kashmir Weather, Qazigund registered a high of 32.5°C, 7.9°C above normal; Pahalgam recorded 28.8°C, 6.6°C above normal; Kupwara saw 32.4°C, 6.1°C above normal; Kokernag reached 31.5°C, 7.4°C above normal; while Gulmarg, a key tourist destination, recorded 24.0°C, which is 7.4°C above the seasonal average.
In the Jammu region, Jammu city recorded 38.2°C, marginally below normal by 0.2°C. Banihal recorded 29.2°C, 2.3°C above normal; Batote saw 27.7°C, 0.6°C above normal; Bhaderwah recorded 31.4°C, 3.2°C above normal; and Katra reported 35.2°C, just 0.1°C below normal.
In Ladakh, Leh recorded a maximum temperature of 22.2°C.
