Srinagar, July 15: A woman died after being hit by a vehicle near the SDM office on the National Highway in Bemina area of Srinagar on Tuesday.

Reports said that a Duster vehicle hit a pedestrian woman identified as Naseema Begum, wife of Fayaz Ahmad, originally from Kupwara and currently living in Firdous Colony, Bemina.
She was immediately shifted to JVC Hospital Bemina, where doctors declared her brought dead, reports said.
