The Department of Botany, University of Kashmir, Srinagar is inviting eligible candidates for a walk-in interview for the posts of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Junior Project Fellow (JPF) under a project funded by the Ministry of Environment, Forests & Climate Change.

Interview Details

- Venue: Department of Botany, University of Kashmir, Srinagar
- Note: No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must hold a Postgraduate degree in Botany with at least 55% marks from a recognized university/institution.
- NET qualification is mandatory for JRF positions.
- Candidates with fieldwork experience in plant sampling and ecological surveys will be preferred.
- In the absence of NET-qualified applicants, candidates may be considered for JPF positions with salaries as per ministry norms.
- Applicants must be physically and mentally fit to carry out fieldwork in high-altitude, mountainous terrains.
- Selected candidates will be subject to the rules and regulations of the funding agency and the University of Kashmir.
Fellowship/Salary Details
- Junior Research Fellow (JRF):
- ₹37,000 + 16% HRA per month for the first two years
- ₹42,000 + 16% HRA per month in the third year
- Junior Project Fellow (JPF):
- Remuneration as per Ministry of Environment, Forests & Climate Change guidelines
Selection Process
Candidates will be selected based on performance in the walk-in interview, academic qualifications, NET status, and relevant field experience.
