SRINAGAR: A young boy from Srinagar drowned while bathing at Namblan waterfall in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Officials said that the incident occurred when the boy, who was on a picnic, entered the water at Namblan in Baramulla and drowned.

They said that locals managed to retrieve his body, but his life could not be saved.

He was identified as Mohd Irfan Rather, son of Mohd Yousf Rather, a resident of Hyderpora, Srinagar.
