Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications
As per Government Order No. 383-JK (HME) Of 2024 dated June 20, 2024, the eligibility criteria follow the Teachers Eligibility Qualifications in Medical Institutions Regulations, 2022. Candidates must possess the following:
MBBS degree with all relevant phase mark sheets.
MD/MS/DNB/MCh/DM degree in the relevant specialty.
Completion of an internship with a valid certificate.
Age Limit
Maximum Age: 45 years as of the cutoff date, October 31, 2024.
Documents Required for Application
Applicants must submit self-attested copies of the following documents along with the application:
MBBS marks sheet and qualification certificate.
MD/MS/DNB/MCh/DM degree certificate.
Internship completion certificate.
Date of Birth Certificate.
NMC or J&K Medical Council Registration Certificate.
Domicile Certificate.
No Objection Certificate (for in-service candidates).
Affidavit(s) as per requirement.

Application Process
How to Apply

Selection Process
Written Test
Candidates will be selected based on their performance in an MCQ-based written test, as outlined in Government Order No. 383-JK (HME) of 2024 dated June 20, 2024. The test will assess the candidate’s knowledge and skills relevant to their discipline.
Tie-Breaker Criteria
In case of a tie in marks between two or more candidates, preference will be given to the candidate(s) older in age.
Terms and Conditions for GMC Srinagar Senior Residents
- Salary:
In-service candidates: Salary will be paid as per their Last Pay Certificate (LPC).
Not-in-service candidates: Stipend will be provided according to S.O. 364 of 2020 dated November 27, 2020.
- Tenure:
The initial appointment will be for one year, with the possibility of extension based on performance in the first and second years.
The engagement will be made on Academic Arrangement Basis under S.O. 364 of 2020.
- NOC Requirement:
In-service candidates must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their parent department.
- Affidavit Requirement:
Applicants must submit an affidavit attested by a judicial magistrate stating that they have not served as a Registrar/Demonstrator/Senior Resident previously in any institution.
