NOTICE: Mandatory Installation of CCTV Cameras in School Buses – Deadline Extended

In continuation of previous circular instructions, all school authorities are reminded that the installation of CCTV cameras in school buses is mandatory. Initially, the deadline was set for January 31, 2025. However, following a request from the President, Forum of Unaided Recognized Institutions (FOURI), the deadline has been extended to March 31, 2025.

From April 1, 2025, enforcement agencies will conduct special drives in their respective jurisdictions to ensure compliance. Schools failing to install CCTV cameras in buses will face action under the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 and related rules.

All enforcement agencies must submit a weekly action report to the Commissionerate.
