Scheduled Power Shutdown Across Multiple Areas from July 2 to 26: JKPTCL

SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Power Transmission Corporation Limited (JKPTCL), Kashmir, has announced scheduled power shutdowns in various areas to carry out infrastructure works and maintenance.

According to the Chief Engineer, JKPTCL Kashmir, the 132 kV BRTL Circuit-I and II will remain affected from 6:00 AM on July 2 to 6:00 PM on July 26, 2025. The shutdown is required for dismantling and de-stringing of conductors and erection work between tower locations 24 to 26.

In connection with the same works, power supply to areas including Silk Factory, Allochibagh, Rambagh, Tulsibagh, Peerbagh, Humhama, Humhama Heights, Friends Colony, Hyderpora, Rangreth, Alamdar Colony, Milatabad, Hill View Colony, Gogo, Wanbal, and adjoining areas will remain affected from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM on July 2.

Additionally, to clear accumulated dust from breakers and buses of the 33 kV indoor breakers of the 140 MVA, 132/33 kV GSS Rawalpora, power supply to Rawalpora, Sanat Nagar, IE Sanat Nagar, Hyderpora, Majeed Bagh, Chanapora, Bagh-i-Mehtab, Bone and Joint Hospital, Rangreth, Airforce, Peerbagh, Humhama, Silk Factory, and adjoining areas will be affected from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM on July 5.kashmir life
