Weather experts noted that the region will likely experience generally dry conditions from 12 to 14 November. However, another spell of light rain and snow is expected in the higher areas and scattered locations in Kashmir between 15 and 16 November.
Independent weather observer Faizan Arif stated that a weak Western Disturbance (WD) will impact Jammu and Kashmir from Sunday night. This disturbance is likely to bring light rain and snow, primarily affecting the higher reaches of North Kashmir, the Pir Panjal Range, and mountainous regions in Bandipora and Ganderbal districts. Arif added that a second, weaker WD could bring further light snowfall between 14 and 16 November.

Temperatures across the valley are anticipated to drop in the coming days, with daytime temperatures falling by 2–6°C, and a notable decline in nighttime temperatures expected from 17 November onwards. The prolonged dry spell in Kashmir has led to historically low water levels in the Jhelum River and its tributaries.
Srinagar’s famous Dal Lake and surrounding areas have been shrouded in mist and shallow fog, while cold temperatures prompt tourists and locals to layer up in warm clothing. The minimum temperature in Srinagar was recorded at 3.6°C on the night between Saturday and Sunday, slightly above the seasonal average. Meanwhile, the maximum temperature on Saturday reached 21.6°C, which is 4.3°C above the norm for this time of year.
