Unidentified Pedestrian Killed in Speeding Vehicle Accident on NH-144A Near Rah Salyote: JAMMU: An unidentified pedestrian lost his life after being struck by a speeding vehicle along the Jammu–Sunderbani National Highway (NH-144A) near Rah Salyote on Saturday late evening.

The incident took place when a yet-to-be-identified vehicle, reportedly being driven in a rash and negligent manner, hit the pedestrian while travelling towards Sunderbani.
“The injured person was immediately rushed to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Sunderbani for treatment but succumbed to his injuries shortly after,” the official said.Following the incident, Police Station Akhnoor registered an FIR No. 76/2025 under sections 281 and 125(a) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The body has been shifted to the mortuary at Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu for identification.
Police have launched an investigation, and efforts are underway to trace the vehicle involved in the accident. (With KINS inputs)
