SRINAGAR: A 21-year-old boy passed away after he fell from a poplar tree in the Vailoo area of Kokernag in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

The boy has been identified as Umer Shabir Malik, son of Shabir Ahmad Malik. He was reportedly climbing the tree when the accident took place, leading to serious injuries.

Locals who witnessed the incident immediately rushed him to the Sub-District Hospital (SDH) in Kokernag. He was declared dead upon arrival at the hospital.
