SRINAGAR: A 7-year-old girl died after drowning in the Batengoo area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Monday evening.

2 Dead 3 injured in Tragic Road Accident in Kashmir
“The deceased has been identified as Simran Kaur, daughter of Happy Singh, a resident of Jalandhar, Punjab, who was presently residing in Batengoo, Anantnag. The minor reportedly slipped into a water body and drowned before help could arrive. A rescue operation was launched, but she was declared dead after being retrieved,” officials said.
Local police have taken cognisance of the incident, and further investigation is underway. (JKNS)
