Jammu, Oct 23: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has issued an official order mandating the presence of senior officials at the Civil Secretariat in Jammu for the upcoming winter session from November 11th.
In Government Order No.1822-JK (GAD) of 2024, dated October 23, 2024, the General Administration Department (GAD) has directed that, “The Administrative Secretaries and Union Territory-level Heads of Departments shall ensure their availability at Civil Secretariat, Jammu w.e.f. 11th November (Monday), 2024.”

The order also states that while these officials will primarily operate out of Jammu, “they will attend the Civil Secretariat, Srinagar, as per functional requirement.”
Further, it mentions that “The arrangements with regard to availability of staff of Administrative Departments of Civil Secretariat shall be determined by the respective Departments.”

To facilitate the transition, the Estates Department has been tasked with providing accommodation to officers and staff based on departmental requisitions, with the order specifying that “The Estates Department, upon requisition by the concerned Administrative Departments, shall provide accommodation to the officers/officials, as per requirement.”(KNS)
