Senior IAS Officer Shantmanu Appointed Interim Chairman of JKBOSE

SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir government has appointed senior IAS officer Shantmanu as the interim Chairman of the J&K Board of School Education (JKBOSE) and Director of the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), J&K.

According to a notification issued by the General Administration Department (GAD), Shantmanu, who is currently serving as Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary) of the School Education Department, will hold the additional charge until further orders. The appointment has been made under the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education Act, 1975. Shantmanu is an IAS officer of the AGMUT cadre (1991 batch).

Fourteen candidates have been shortlisted for the positions of Chairman, Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE), and Director, JK State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT). They will appear for an interaction before the Search Committee on March 5.kashmirlife
