Officials said that the deceased, identified as Naik Biswas, a resident of West Bengal, was on duty at Pandrethan, Pantha Chowk when he suddenly lost consciousness due to a heart attack.
He was immediately shifted to a hospital for treatment, where doctors declared him brought dead.
Meanwhile, the police have taken cognizance of the matter and initiated an investigation. (JKNS)
