The fire was reported at 7:07 PM, prompting a swift response from several Fire & Emergency Services (F&ES) stations, including those from Brein, Gowkadal, Nehru Park, and the F&ES Headquarters Command in Srinagar, an official said.

According to the IC Brain, the CRPF guard room was consumed by the fire, but the situation is now under control. Fire personnel acted promptly to contain the blaze, preventing it from spreading to other areas of the high-security complex.

Fortunately, no casualties were reported, and authorities are assessing the extent of the damage. The cause of the fire is under investigation, with initial reports suggesting an electric short circuit as the likely reason.
