JKSSB Notice: Shortlisting of Candidates for PST/PET for Constable Posts (Armed/IRP/SDRF/Executive)
The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has announced the shortlisting of candidates for the Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Endurance Test (PET) for the post of Constables (Armed/IRP/SDRF/Executive) in the Home Department, advertised under Notification No. 01 of 2024, Item Nos. 01, 02, 05, and 06.

Shortlisting Criteria:
As per S.O. 214 dated 01 July 2021 issued by the Home Department, six times the number of vacancies in each category have been shortlisted for the PST. Candidates who meet the prescribed physical standards will proceed to the PET, as per the eligibility norms outlined in the same order.
PST/PET Schedule (Tentative):
- Srinagar: From 3rd week of August 2025
- Jammu: From 3rd week of September 2025
The list of shortlisted candidates for PST/PET is provided in Annexure “A” of this notice.
Category-Wise Cut-off Marks for Shortlisting:
- OM: 48
- RBA: 38
- SC: 33
- ST 1: 28.75
- ST 2: 30
- OBC: 27
- EWS: 15
- SPO (Special Police Officers): 16
- VHG (Village Defence Guards): 15
Important Instructions:
- Shortlisting does not guarantee selection. Final selection is subject to fulfillment of all eligibility criteria.
- PST/PET is qualifying in nature and does not carry marks.
- Failure to appear on the scheduled date will result in disqualification.
- Candidates must bring:
- Admit Card
- One original photo ID proof (Aadhar, Voter ID, PAN Card, Passport, etc.)
- Any deficiency in eligibility found during PST/PET shall result in disqualification from the process.
