The scholarship is available for women from financially weaker backgrounds. The scholarship covers college fees for graduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes in any scientific field, including Pure Sciences, Life Sciences, Applied Sciences, Engineering, Medicine, Cosmetology, Cosmetic Science, Pharmacology, and more, at a recognised college or university in India.
The eligibility criteria for the scholarship for the UG programme include that students must have qualified Class 12 in the science stream with at least 85 percentage, must be pursuing an undergraduate course. The selected students will be granted Rs 62,5000.
The eligibility criteria for scholarship for PG and PhD programmes include that students must be pursuing post-graduation (any year) in fields such as Technology, Science, Pharma, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, etc. The selected students will be granted one lakh rupees.
The scholarship is applicable for only women candidates all over India, and children of the employees are not eligible. The annual family income of the applicants should be less than six lakh rupees.
The documents required are address and identity proof, self-attested copy of parents’ income proof, scan copy of Class 10th and 12th original mark sheets, available last semester or year mark sheet, proof of admission at current institution, expenses receipts to be taken for the current academic year, certificates for science-related extracurricular activities (if applicable), Statement of Purpose (SoP) and recent passport-sized photograph
