Army soldier loses life in accidental weapon discharge in Mendhar, Poonch district
On Thursday, in Mendhar area of Poonch district, an Army soldier lost his life due to an unintentional discharge of his weapon, according to officials. The soldier, belonging to a local Army Unit, was immediately taken to the hospital, but unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries, as confirmed by army officials speaking to GNS.
The deceased soldier has been identified as Lance Naik Jasbir Singh, who was serving in the LoC Mendhar area of Poonch district at the time of the incident. The army officials have initiated further investigations into the matter. (GNS)
