SRINAGAR: Two people were found dead with agricultural tools beside them in the Billawar area of Kathua district on Sunday.

A police official said that information was received about two unidentified males lying unconscious in an open field in Batheri village. Upon receiving the information, the police reached the spot and shifted the duo to a hospital, where doctors declared them dead.
The deceased have been identified as Shamsher (37), son of Krishan Chand, and Roshan (45), son of Shankar Dass, both residents of Kohag, Billawar. Agricultural tools, including a spade, hoe, and mattock, were found beside them.
“Investigation into the matter is underway,” the official added. (GNS)
