Central Kashmir: 10 People Injured in Stray Dog Attack, Panic Grips Area : SRINAGAR: At least ten people, including five children, were injured in a stray dog attack in Kandajan village of Chrar-i-Sharief area in central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Monday, triggering panic among residents.

A pack of stray dogs entered the village and attacked people. “It was a terrifying scene. People were screaming and running for safety as the dogs attacked,” said a resident.
Health officials confirmed that five children sustained moderate injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The Block Medical Officer, Chrar-i-Sharief, said all the injured are in stable condition.
“This is not the first time such an incident has occurred. Authorities must act before a tragedy happens,” said a parent of one of the injured children.
Locals have urged the district administration and municipal authorities to launch a sterilisation and relocation drive to address the growing stray dog problem in the area. (KNT)
