SRINAGAR: The dead body of a non-local minor boy who drowned while bathing in the Jhelum River at Donipora Sangam has been retrieved after five days, officials said.

An official said that the dead body of the non-local boy who drowned in the Jhelum River near Donipora Sangam, Anantnag, was retrieved.

He added that the boy drowned on August 13, while he was bathing and relaxing in the water.

He was identified as Muneer-Ul-Islam, son of Babu Ali (14), a resident of Tipu Mari, Assam.

Moreover, the police have taken up the investigation.(KB)
