Driver, Three Others Hurt in Ambulance Accident

SRINAGAR: Four persons, including the driver of an ambulance, were injured after the vehicle met with an accident near Kala Morh on the Reasi–Katra road on Thursday, officials said.

An official said that an ambulance bearing registration number JK20C-1872 was involved in the mishap. “The injured were shifted to CHC Katra, where after first aid, one woman identified as Guddo Devi (60), wife of Jail Singh, resident of Panassa, Tehsil Thakrakote, was referred to GMC Jammu for advanced treatment,” the official said.

He said the driver, Ajit Singh of Jammu, and two others—Sunita Devi and Sudesh Kumar, both residents of Dharan—sustained minor injuries.

Police have taken cognisance of the incident. (KNC)
