Weather Department Forecasts Mainly Dry Weather with a Possibility of Rain and Thunderstorms in Jammu and Kashmir. The meteorological department official stated that scattered places of Jammu and Kashmir may experience a brief spell of rain and thunderstorm towards late afternoon and evening.
There is no prediction of major rainfall for the next week. From May 15-16, the weather is likely to be partly cloudy, and from May 17-20, rain and thunderstorms are expected at isolated to scattered places.
Temperature-wise, Srinagar, Qazigund, and Kokernag had normal temperatures, while Pahalgam was slightly above normal, and Kupwara and Gulmarg were below normal. Jammu, Banihal, and Bhaderwah also had below-normal temperatures, while Batote and Katra had above-normal temperatures. Leh recorded a low of 1.4°C.
