SRINAGAR: Strong tremors were felt across many parts of Kashmir on Wednesday night, marking the third earthquake to hit the region in just two days.

Earlier, two back-to-back earthquakes had struck Jammu and Kashmir, causing damage to structures, particularly in North Kashmir. A 4.9 magnitude earthquake was followed shortly by another tremor measuring 4.8.

The latest tremor on Wednesday night again shook the region. Official confirmation from the National Centre for Seismology is still awaited.
