Final Seniority List Released for Ministerial Cadre of GMC Srinagar and Associated Hospitals as of July 1, 2025

The Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar has issued the final seniority list for various ministerial posts including Section Officers, Estates Officer, Head Assistants, Cashiers, Senior Assistants, and Junior Assistants working at GMC and its Associated Hospitals. The list reflects the status as it stood on 01 July 2025.

Background

Earlier, through Notification No. GMCS/HS-061B/Sen/2037-49 dated 07 July 2025, a tentative seniority list was published for the ministerial staff. Objections and representations were invited from the cadre members. In response, the office received a single representation from Junior Assistants appointed in 2023, requesting inclusion in the list. The representation was reviewed and addressed in accordance with the applicable rules and norms.

Final Seniority List Circulated

Based on the feedback and subsequent review, the final seniority list has now been officially released and categorized as follows:

  • Annexure-A: Section Officers / Estates Officer (Pay Level-7: 44900–142400)
  • Annexure-B: Head Assistants / Cashiers (Pay Level-6B: 35600–112800)
  • Annexure-C: Senior Assistants (Pay Level-5: 29200–93200)
  • Annexure-D: Junior Assistants (Pay Level-4: 25500–81100)

Instructions for Circulation and Verification

  • All Controlling Officers are directed to ensure that the final seniority list is circulated among the concerned staff members within their respective establishments.
  • This final seniority list is subject to the outcome of any writ petitions that may be pending before any competent court of law.
  • The Date of Birth and Category details mentioned in the list are provisional and will be subject to verification through service records, matriculation certificates, and category certificates issued by the competent authorities.
