Following comprehensive consultations with key stakeholders—including the Indian Institute of Legal Metrology, Regional Reference Laboratories, manufacturers, and vehicle certification bodies—the government has finalized a technical framework for the verification process.
The upcoming regulations lay out strict technical and safety standards, ensuring that all radar devices are calibrated properly, function reliably under different environmental conditions, and are tamper-proof. Every device must now be officially verified and stamped before it can be used by enforcement agencies.
