The course duration is two years for Masters and three years for PhD. The last date to apply is either December 5, 2024 or January 4, 2025, depending on the courses.

Courses which are available in Gates Cambridge Scholarships include BA,
Business Doctorate (BusD), Master of Business (MBA), Master of Finance (MFin), MBBChir Clinical Studies, MD Doctor of Medicine degree (six years, part-time), Graduate Course in Medicine (A101), part-time degrees and non-degree courses.

The scholarship covers the University composition fee, maintenance allowance for a single student (£18,744 for 12 months) and for PhD scholars the award is for up to four years. It provides one economy single airfare at the beginning and end of the course, Inbound visa costs and the cost of the Immigration Health Surcharge. It also has academic development funding from up to £500 to up to £2,000, dependent on the length of the course. Family allowance up to £10,944 for one child and up to £15,612 for two or more children. No funding is provided for a partner.

Gates Cambridge Scholarship eligibility criteria require English language proficiency, academic excellence, a commitment to improving the lives of others, and a capacity for leadership. Applicants must be from countries outside the UK to pursue a full-time postgraduate degree.

The documents required for the scholarship include Gates Cambridge Statement not more than 3000 characters (approximately 500 words), CV/Resume, a Research proposal (PhD applicants only) and academic references.
