Government Medical College (GMC Anantnag) has officially canceled the selection and operation of the waiting list for the posts of Technical Assistant/Technician and Public Health Nurse (PHN). The cancellation applies to candidates who failed to join within the stipulated time.
Why Was the Selection Canceled?
- The selected candidates were appointed under S.O.-364, dated November 27, 2020, based on Advertisement Notice No. 05 GMCA of 2024 (dated July 15, 2024).
- They were required to report to GMC Anantnag within 21 days from the notification issued on January 22, 2025.
- Since they failed to report within the deadline, their selection has been canceled ab-initio.
Operation of Waiting List
As a result of the cancellation, candidates from the waiting list (issued via Notification No. GMCA/Estt/2025/595-99, dated January 22, 2025) have now been selected for these positions.

- The newly selected candidates must report to the office of the Principal, GMC Anantnag (Main Campus, Dialgam) within five days of this order.
- They need to undergo Character and Antecedents (CID) verification, which will be processed online.
