In accordance with Rule 10 of the Jammu and Kashmir Police (Gazetted) Service Recruitment Rules, 2024, notified via SO 500 of 2024 dated 10.10.2024, and Rule 24 of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification, Control & Appeal) Rules, 1956, the Tentative Seniority List (TSL) for members of the Jammu and Kashmir Police (Gazetted) Service [Deputy Superintendents of Police (General Cadre)] as of 01.01.2025 has been issued as an Annexure to this order for the information of all concerned officers.

Key Details:
- Submission of Objections:
Officers with objections to their inter-se seniority position in the TSL are invited to submit representations, supported by documentary evidence, within 14 days from the issuance date of this order.
Objections or representations submitted after the stipulated 14-day period will not be considered. Upon the deadline’s expiration, further steps will be taken to finalize the seniority list without further notice.
- Pending Legal Matters:
The issuance of this TSL is subject to the outcomes of any writ petitions currently pending before competent courts.
- Verification of Date of Birth:
The date of birth recorded in the TSL is subject to verification against individual Service Books and date of birth certificates. Officers from reserved categories are advised to submit authenticated copies of their category certificates in case of discrepancies.
- Availability of TSL:
The Tentative Seniority List is also accessible on the official website of the Home Department: home-jk@nic.in.
