Jammu, February 10, 2025 – The High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh has issued an official order (No. 191 of 2025/RG/RC) revising the eligibility criteria for the Junior Assistant post (Level-4, Pay Scale: ₹25,500-81,100). This amendment, approved by the Hon’ble Chief Justice, modifies the requirements outlined in High Court Order No. 579, dated October 24, 2008.

Updated Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must now meet the following requirement:

Graduation from a recognized university along with a minimum six-month certificate course/diploma in Computer Applications from a recognized institute.

Exemption Clause

Candidates with specialized qualifications in Computer Applications are exempted from the six-month certificate/diploma requirement. This exemption applies to those holding:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Applications (BCA)

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science

B.Tech in Computer Science/IT

Any other relevant degree in Computer Applications

The amendment aims to streamline eligibility requirements while recognizing specialized qualifications in the field of computer applications.
