SRINAGAR: The Forest Survey of India has issued a High-Risk Forest Fire Alert for the Kashmir region from January 23 to January 30, 2025. In response, the Divisional Commissioner’s office has called on authorities and the public to take urgent precautions to prevent incidents.

Field functionaries, including forest staff, local authorities, and emergency responders, have been instructed to remain on high alert and prepare firefighting equipment. The officials were urged to act swiftly if required to tackle any emerging fire-related emergencies.
