“Jammu–Poonch Highway Accident: 5 People Injured in Major Road Crash” : SRINAGAR: At least five people were injured after their vehicle met with an accident on the Jammu–Poonch Highway near Bakhar village in Rajouri district on Thursday.

Officials said a Maruti Ignis, travelling from Jammu to Poonch, collided with a tipper.
All five occupants of the Maruti Ignis sustained injuries and were initially shifted to SDH Sunderbani. They were later referred to GMC for advanced treatment.
“The injured have been identified as Mohammad Aslam, son of Abdullah; Akhtar Malik, son of Abdullah; Masood Malik, son of Mohammad Abdullah; Abdul Qayoom, son of Abdul Ghani (resident of Surankot); and Sheema Akhtar, daughter of Mohammad Abdullah — all residents of Poonch,” officials said.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident. (GNS)
