SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir National Highway will continue to remain closed for traffic for the second consecutive day on Friday.
An official stated that vehicular movement will be prohibited on the Jammu-Srinagar NHW due to road damage at Kishtwari Pather, Sherbibi, and instances of shooting stones/mudslides at various locations along NH-44.

Around 700 vehicles are reportedly stranded in Ramban, Banihal, Nashri, Chenani, Kud and Udhampur areas of the highway.
Officials said that restoration work has been taken up and efforts are on to restore the movement of traffic as soon as possible.(KS)
