J&K Police Announces Adjustments for Newly Promoted DSP Officers.The Jammu and Kashmir Police Department has announced adjustments for officers recently promoted to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) (Steno). This follows Government Order No. 549-Home of December 3, 2024. The adjustments are effective immediately and are detailed as follows:

- 3. Sheikh Arif Ahmad – Posted as P/S to DIG NKR Baramulla.
- 4. Mushtaq Ahmad – Posted as P/S to IG Traffic, J&K.
- 5. Javid Ahmad Sofi – Adjusted to PTWS Srinagar against the post of DSP (S) CTC Lethpora. However, this position will remain attached to the SSP PTWS Srinagar until further notice.
- 6. Altaf Khaliq – Posted as P/S to DIG SKR Anantnag.
- 7. Mahesh Gupta – Posted as P/S to DIG (Pers) HQ.
Additionally, transfers for two DSPs (Steno/Ministerial) have been ordered
- Sunil Kumar, DSP (S) – Transferred from P/S to IG Traffic, J&K to P/S to Director SKPAU.
- 2. Mohd Rafi, DSP (M) – Transferred from P/S to DIG (Pers) HQ to ADO Railways Police HQ.
These orders have been approved by the Director General of Police (DGP), and the officers are instructed to take up their new assignments immediately.
