JKSSB Home Department Recruitment 2025: Apply for 61 UT Cadre Posts
The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has announced the recruitment of 61 UT Cadre posts in the Home Department under Advertisement Notification No. 06 of 2025. Vacancy Details

Eligibility Criteria
Domicile Requirement
Candidates must hold a valid Domicile Certificate issued by the competent authority on or before the cut-off date (2 September 2025).
Educational Qualification
Qualifications vary by post and will be specified in Annexure-A. Applicants must meet the required criteria before the application deadline.
Age Limit (as of 1 January 2025)
- General (OM): 40 years (Born between 1 January 1985 and 1 January 2007)
- SC/ST/RBA/ALC/IB/OBC/EWS: 43 years (Born between 1 January 1982 and 1 January 2007)
- Physically Challenged: 42 years (Born between 1 January 1983 and 1 January 2007)
- Government Service/Contractual Employees: 40 years (Born between 1 January 1985 and 1 January 2007)
- Ex-Servicemen: 48 years (Born between 1 January 1977 and 1 January 2007)
Application Fee
- Two-Stage Examination:
- General: ₹700
- SC/ST/EWS/PwBD: ₹600
- Single-Stage Examination:
- General: ₹600
- SC/ST/EWS/PwBD: ₹500
Payment can be made online via Net Banking, Credit, or Debit Card. Fees are non-refundable.
Selection Process
- Written Examination (Objective MCQ-based) with negative marking (¼ deduction per wrong answer).
- Skill Test/Physical Test (if applicable).
- Document Verification.

Reservation Policy
Reservation benefits apply as per J&K government norms. Valid category certificates must be submitted by the cut-off date. Horizontal reservation is available for Ex-Servicemen and PwBD candidates.
