Srinagar, July 30, 2025: The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has released the final selection lists for various posts including Urdu Typist, Junior Scale Stenographer/Junior Stenographer, and Steno Typist across multiple departments.
Urdu Typist Post (Notification No. 10-Selection of 2025)
One post of Urdu Typist was advertised via Notification No. 05 of 2020 dated 24.12.2020. The single vacancy was received from the Department of Law, Justice & Parliamentary Affairs. The lone post was filled under the Open Merit (OM) category.
Junior Scale Stenographer/Junior Stenographer Posts (Notification No. 07-Selection of 2025)
A total of 5 posts were filled for Junior Scale Stenographer/Junior Stenographer based on three different advertisement notifications:
- Notification No. 04 of 2021 (dated 17.07.2021)
- Notification No. 05 of 2021 (dated 22.09.2021)
- Notification No. 02 of 2022 (dated 09.02.2022)
All five vacancies were selected under the Open Merit (OM) category.
Steno Typist – Horticulture Department (Notification No. 09-Selection of 2025)
total of 23 posts of Steno Typist were advertised vide Notification No. 01 of 2021 dated 03.02.2021 for the Horticulture Department. The category-wise breakup is as follows:
- OM: 18
- SC: 02
- RBA: 03
No candidates were selected under ST, OSC, ALC/IB, PSP, or EWS categories.
Steno Typist – Health & Medical Education Department (Notification No. 08-Selection of 2025)
JKSSB also finalized the selection of 10 Steno Typists under Notification No. 02 of 2021 dated 26.03.2021. The breakup is:
- OM: 09
- RBA: 01
There were no selections under SC, ST, OSC, ALC/IB, PSP, or EWS categories.
