Job Opportunities under JKCIP Project at SKUAST-Kashmir

Applications are invited from eligible and motivated candidates for the following contractual positions under the project titled “Competitiveness Improvement of Agriculture & Allied Sectors Project in J&K (JKCIP)” at Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K), Shalimar, Srinagar or its constituent units. The appointments will be purely on a contractual basis, initially for a period of one year, with the possibility of extension based on performance and project requirements.

• Procurement Officer – 01 Position
• Manager Incubation – 01 Position
• Young Professional (Incubation) – 01 Position

General Terms & Conditions:

1. The positions are full-time and purely contractual, initially for one year with potential yearly extensions based on performance and project needs (co-terminus with the project).
2. Posting location will be SKUAST-K, Shalimar, Srinagar, or any of its constituent units.
3. Either party may terminate the contract by giving one month’s notice or paying one month’s salary in lieu thereof.
4. Candidates must adhere to the highest standards of ethics in line with IFAD’s Anti-Fraud and Corruption policy. Prohibited practices include:
   • Corrupt practices – Offering or receiving anything of value to influence decisions improperly.
   • Fraudulent practices – Misrepresentation to gain undue advantage.
   • Collusive practices – Secret arrangements to manipulate outcomes.
   • Coercive practices – Use of threats or harm to influence actions.
   • Obstructive practices – Destroying evidence or impeding investigations.
5. Candidates must comply with IFAD’s policies against sexual harassment, exploitation, and abuse. Any proven misconduct will lead to immediate termination.
6. Compliance with IFAD’s Social, Environmental and Climate Assessment Procedures (SECAP) is mandatory. More information: IFAD SECAP
7. Selected candidates will be required to provide an undertaking to abide by the HR policies of SKUAST-K/JKCIP and other relevant guidelines.
8. Candidates must also submit a declaration affirming:
   • No criminal charges or convictions.
   • No dismissal/removal/compulsory retirement from public or private service.
   • Not declared insolvent by any court.
9. An affidavit is required stating that the candidate will not claim absorption into SKUAST-K or JKCIP after the contract period ends.
10. Screening Process: If applications exceed the number of vacancies, shortlisting will be done based on qualifications, skills, and experience as per advertised criteria.
