Kashmir: Power Supply to Be Disrupted Due to Maintenance: SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced power shutdowns affecting several areas on April 21 and April 23, 2025. The scheduled disruptions will allow for critical upgrades to the power infrastructure across different parts of the region.

On April 21, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 02:00 PM, power supply to Ratnipora, Lajoora, Puchal, Naroo, and surrounding areas will be affected due to the shutdown of the 33 kv Awantipora-Naroo line. This shutdown is necessary to facilitate repair and maintenance work on the Gantry within the Air Force Camp, which will be executed by the AE E/M Awantipora Airport. The 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Naroo and LIS Koil-II & III will remain off during this period.

Simultaneously, power will also be disrupted in areas like the Air Force station and LIS Koil-1st due to the shutdown of the 33KV Awantipora-Airport line. The shutdown will affect the 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Airport Station and LIS Koil-1st, with power supply to these areas remaining off from 10:00 AM to 02:00 PM on the same day.

Additionally, on the same date, the 33KV Amargarh SIDCO line will be shut down from 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM to facilitate replacement and repairs to the 1500 mm nominal diameter rising main pipe at Ladoora-Rohama. Power supply to Rohama, Chakloo, and surrounding areas will be affected as the 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Rohama and Chakloo will remain off during this period.

On April 23, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 04:00 PM, power supply to Peerbagh, Humhama, Wanbal, Rangreth, and adjoining areas will be interrupted due to the shutdown of the 33KV Airforce line, 33KV Silk Factory line, and the 33KV Rangreth line. This shutdown is necessary to carry out the interchange of cables between the 33KV Airforce line and the 33KV Silk Factory line at the 33KV Gantry at Rawalpora Grid.

As a result, the 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Peerbagh, Humhama, Wanbal, and Rangreth will remain off during this time.Residents and businesses in the affected areas are advised to take necessary precautions and plan accordingly during the scheduled shutdowns.
