SRINAGAR: A troubling incident in North Kashmir’s Palpora, Pattan, has been the subject of widespread speculation since Thursday evening. Reports suggested that a young man consumed a poisonous substance after losing 10 lakh rupees in a Bitcoin-related game. However, the victim’s family has vehemently denied these claims.
The individual in question has been identified as 24-year-old Amir, a student. According to local residents, the incident unfolded around 4 pm on Thursday. “We heard about the incident and rushed him to Srinagar. Thankfully, his condition is now stable,” said a resident of the village.
Amir’s family has dismissed rumors linking the incident to online gaming and financial losses. “These claims are baseless. We are a poor family; how could we even have 10 lakh rupees, let alone lose it in some game? He has never been involved in such activities,” said Amir’s elder brother.
Explaining the real reason behind the incident, his brother added, “He had an argument with me and our mother, which pushed him to take this extreme step. There’s nothing more to it.kashmir life
