KPDCL Issues Power Shutdown Schedule for South Kashmir

SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced scheduled power shutdowns in various areas of Awantipora and Khrew to carry out essential augmentation and maintenance work on key power lines.

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, the 33 KV Awantipora-Awantipora Line will undergo augmentation and stabilisation, resulting in power outages at Receiving Stations Awantipora-1st, Awantipora-II, IUST, AIIMS, Rice Mills, and others. Power supply to Malangpora, Padgampora, Beighpora, Barsoo, Awantipora, and adjoining areas will be affected from 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM on January 23, 28, and 30.

Additionally, balance work on the IE Wuyan Tap Line will necessitate the shutdown of the 33 KV Pampore-SIDCO Line, disrupting power supply at the 33/11 KV Receiving Stations serving cement plants in Khrew and IE Khrew. Areas including IE Khrew and IE Wuyan will experience outages on January 23, from 10:00 AM to 05:00 PM.

KPDCL has urged residents and businesses in the affected areas to plan accordingly during the scheduled power disruptions and assured that the maintenance work is crucial for ensuring a stable and improved power supply in the future.
