The Bloomberg Billionaire Index, which tracks the wealthiest individuals globally, revealed that Zuckerberg experienced a significant rise in his wealth—$78 billion—the highest increase among the 500 richest people. Meta’s 70% surge in shares in 2024 played a key role in boosting his personal wealth, thanks to increasing investor confidence in the company’s stock.

Zuckerberg, who owns a 13% stake in Meta, now stands second in the Bloomberg Index, trailing behind Tesla’s Elon Musk, who leads with $50 billion more in wealth. Meta’s recent decision to lay off over 2,000 employees is also considered a key factor in the company’s financial recovery.
