Over a Dozen Injured in Nayug Tunnel Crash, Traffic Halted

SRINAGAR: At least a dozen people were injured in a road accident inside the Banihal-Qazigund Nayug Tunnel on Wednesday evening.

Officials said that an SRTC bus met with an accident inside the Banihal-Qazigund Nayug Tunnel, leaving around a dozen people wounded. Their condition was being ascertained when the report was last filed.

They said the bus was on its way from Jammu to Srinagar. “The traffic inside the tunnel has been suspended,” officials said, adding that all the injured have been shifted to a nearby hospital in Qazigund for treatment.
