PAK vs ENG: Mohammad Rizwan sets big record, surpasses Babar Azam
Now Mohammad Rizwan has become the first player to score the most runs in a bilateral T20I series.
New Delhi: Pakistan’s wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan has set a new record. In the fifth match of the ongoing T20 series between Pakistan and England, Rizwan played a brilliant innings of 63 runs. He scored his fourth fifty in the series.
He has now become the first player to score the most runs in a bilateral T20I series. There are still two more matches left in the series. Rizwan can make many records in it. Rizwan has so far scored 315 runs in five matches of the seven-match series against England. He still has two matches left.
In a thrilling fifth match, Pakistan snatched victory from the jaws of England on Wednesday. Pakistan defeated England by six runs. Stylish as ever, Rizwan continued his impressive run and scored 63 off 46 balls. With his fifty, Rizwan became the first batsman in the world to score the most runs in a bilateral T20I series.
Babar Azam broke the record.
Earlier, Pakistan captain Babar Azam made this record by scoring 210 runs in four innings against South Africa in 2021. Rizwan also broke the record of Leslie Dunbar of Serbia who scored 284 runs in four innings against Bulgaria.
