Funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and supported by the School of Architecture and Planning, this initiative seeks to bridge the gap between how communities wish to represent their food-related experiences and challenges and how these are typically measured, reported, and visualised in food system data dashboards.

The application deadline is open until the position is filled, with interviews beginning on February 15, 2025. Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed virtually by a selection committee.

The qualifications  required are a doctoral degree in a relevant discipline or transdisciplinary training in fields such as data science, ethics, food systems, geospatial science, Indigenous studies, philosophy, public health, sociology, science and technology studies, or urban and regional planning; an outstanding record of scholarship at the intersection of data sovereignty and food sovereignty; experience working with publicly accessible datasets and co-produced research approaches, collaborating closely with communities; exceptional communication skills, particularly in conveying complex concepts clearly to public audiences.
