SRINAGAR: The Chief Engineer of JKPTCL, Kashmir, has announced scheduled power shutdowns for various areas to facilitate essential maintenance and commissioning work.
To commission the Bus Bar protection at 320 MVA, 220/132 KV, 160 MVA Transformer Bank-I of the Grid Station Alusteng, power supply to Wussan, Safapora, Kangan, Lal Bazar, BAMK, Hazratbal, Ellahibagh, Lar-Tullmulla, Ajar, Aloosa, Gurez, Zakura, Nagbal, and adjoining areas will remain suspended from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM on March 20, 2025.
Similarly, to carry out work on 220/132 KV, 160 MVA Transformer Bank-II of Grid Station Alusteng, power supply to the same areas will remain off from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM on March 20, 2025.
Additionally, shutdowns are scheduled for maintenance and infrastructure upgrades, affecting the following areas:
March 17, 19: Pattan-Amargarh Line – Power supply to Pattan, Palhalan, Hamray, Zangam, Nihalpora, Pattan Hospital, and nearby areas will remain off from 10:30 AM to 3:00 PM for replacement of damaged wooden poles.
March 18, 20: HMT Line – Power supply to Singhpora, Mirgund, Skuast, SSM College, and adjoining areas will be affected from 10:30 AM to 3:00 PM for pole replacement.
March 17, 19: Bandipora Line – Power supply to Waltab, Tujjar, and Dooru will remain off from 10:30 AM to 3:00 PM for erection of ST poles.
March 19: Arampora Line – Power supply to Arampora, Panzipora, Sheer Colony, and Bugoo will be disrupted from 10:30 AM to 3:00 PM.
March 24: Achabal-Nowpora Tap Line – Power supply to Achabal and nearby areas will be suspended from 10:30 AM to 3:00 PM for installation of isolators.
March 17, 18: Dolipora Line – Power supply to Tarathpora, Kalmoona, Vilgam, Magam, and nearby areas will remain off from 10:30 AM to 3:00 PM for stabilization work.
March 19: Gulmarg Line – Power supply to Tangmarg, Gulmarg, and Kulhama will be affected from 10:30 AM to 3:00 PM for pole erection.
March 16: Pampore-Lethpora Line – Power supply to Samboora, Lethpora, Patalbagh, Chandhara, and surrounding areas will remain off from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM for stabilization and preventive maintenance.
March 18, 20 & 22: LIS Lethpora Tap Line – Power supply to LIS Ladoo-I, II & III will be affected from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Residents and businesses in the affected areas are advised to make necessary arrangements in advance.
